Tanner Louis Etheredge

This blog is completely dedicated to our son: Tanner Louis Etheredge, Momma and daddys pride and joy! When we found out we were expecting it was a huge shock. We were terrified! Not only because the thought of having a baby was scary, but because we knew we had to tell my parents. But after it was all said and done we couldnt have been any happier. We were very excited and ready for him to be here. Tanner was very blessed by our friends and family. He had everything he needed and more. I had an easy pregnancy for the most part. I gained 35lbs. Yes, I looked and felt gigantic. I didnt have any complications. Except for my feet were quite swollen. I had one of the best doctors, Dr. Greve. I couldnt have asked for a better doctor to guide me and deliver Tanner. We had him at The Medical Center of Arlington. We went in on Nov 2nd around 10pm to start inducing the morning of Nov. 3rd. When I arrived at the hospital and got all settled in the nurse told me I was having strong contractions, but i never felt them. She still set in those cervix softener things and just monitored me til the morning. Well, the morning came and went and they ended up not having to induce because I started going on my own. He finally broke my water around 1pm. I was in pain after that for a few minutes (although I dont really remember it). I believe I was at a 6-7 when he gave me the epidural, which hurt like heck. I thought I was dying,it hurt really bad. Scooter was crying along with me cause he seen I was hurting, it was upsetting him. Sweet huh? So anyways... from then on it went by so fast. I pushed for like 30-45 mins, super easy and he arrived at 6:40pm. Happiest day of our life! Since having Tanner I have been a stay at home mom. It's great to be able to wake and spend all day with him. Although he can get a little rambunkcious its worth it. Tanner has always been so active, even in my tummy. He never slows down, except to eat. He likes to eat. He has been a very healthy boy growing up. We went threw the minor colds, and illnesses. But luckily and thankfully nothing major. We've only had 2 minor ER visits. Knock on wood, cause he is 100% BOY. He is now going on 4 years old, I can NOT believe it. Its kinda scary, before long he will be in school. Tanner is a big boy in fact, a whole 45lbs and 3 1/2 ft tall. Wearing size 6 and size 11 shoes. The average size of a 5 1/2 yr old. Can we say football player. Just kidding, I will not force him to do anything. He can choose what he wants to do. He amazed me everyday with the stuff he says and does. He learns so quickly. He loves watching the cartoons where they actually learn things. Like the sprout channel. He has learned around 5 different words in sign language. He's learned "mucho's gracias". I am such a proud mommy. I could go on and on. He sure knows how to melt my heart too. He continuosly tells everyone he misses them and loves them, everyones his hunny bunny's. He loves dancing and singing, and I love watching him. He cracks me up. Well thats just a little or maybe a lot of FYI. LOL, im probably missing something important I wanted to share. But If so I will post it later.

IN THE BEGINNING....

As this is my first official blog, please bare with me. Thanks!
Around 11 years ago is when I met Scooter threw some mutual friends. Were about 16 then. My dad would race dirt cars on the weekends, and somehow Scooter got involved and was always up there helping them and hanging out. Coincidence, I beg to differ. We were good friends and would hang out, he'd come to the house. We even went to prom my senior year. He will still deny this...He was after me for 5 years, asking me out and trying to get my family and friends to hook us up. So, I finally gave in and said "yes" to him on my birthday. I guess it was meant to happen cause 3 years later we gave birth to a gorgeous baby boy. He has changed our lives in so many ways. But we wouldnt have it any other way. We are forever bonded!! Then May of 2008 he popped the question. Of course I said yes. And then May of 2009 he sent Tanner to give me a BEAUTIFUL diamond ring, i guess to reassure it. My heart melted when Tanner brought it to me and said here mommy, daddy got you a prize. And here we are still going strong.
